  • We are writing to compliment your rehab facility on the wonderful care you gave to our mother/grandmother. We are impressed by both your staff and the facility itself.

Your employees treated her with genuine caring and respect. We now realize firsthand that it really does take a “special” kind of person to care for the residents the way your employees do. Their actions prove that this is not just a job, but that they actually enjoy their work, which is very rare today.

We have a large family and many of us visited often. We were all treated with the same respect and generosity given to Mom/Grandma. We will gladly recommend Bethesda Southgate to anyone in need of the services you provide.

  • Words cannot express my heartfelt gratitude for the care that was given to my Grandmother – Helen Tello – during her stay at your wonderful facility. From the day that she was brought there from St. Anthony’s Hospital (August, 2011) up until the day she passed away (August, 2012) she was treated with love, respect and dignity.

After just several days at Bethesda Southgate, I knew that I had made the right decision! Every person on the entire staff was welcoming, kind and thoughtful. I quickly learned that there were no questions too small or issues too big that would not be handled in a professional and timely manner. And I mean EVERYONE!!! From receptionists, housekeeping, maintenance, activities, social workers, dining room servers, CNA’s, nurses and MD’s. You have an incredible line up from start to finish and it shows!!!

All the people in your hospice department were WONDERFUL to Gram for her last three days. They made her so comfortable and were so helpful to all of us also. I would strongly recommend Southgate to anyone needing exquisite care for their loved one—which becomes exquisite care for the entire family…With heartfelt love and gratitude.

  • There is no way I can adequately express how grateful my family and I are for the way in which you cared for my husband. Whenever I said that he was doing so well, and wanted to bring him home, my daughter would remind me that there were three shifts of nurses watching over him, and tending to all his needs, 25 hrs a day. I suppose that that could be expected to happen. But from the first , there has been a feeling that you weren’t just doing your job, you really care about the residents, and even josh with them, and show that you like and respect them.

I have the same feeling here at Bethesda Terrace.

  • I just wanted to compliment the staff of your “Special Care Unit”!

My 3rd cousin has been a resident in the unit for the last 3 yrs. I observed your staff go out of their way to care for her with kindness, compassion, and dignity!

Whenever I visit my cousin, day or evening, your special care staff stops by to talk with her and I. They always try to update me on what is going on. I really appreciate those conversation and the timeout of their busy shifts they give to me. I visit another nursing facility in Illinois and this communication is not the case.

Placing my cousin in Bethesda Southgate’s special care unit was definitely the right move for her. She is very happy! I as one of her family members couldn’t be happier to!

  • On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to thank Bethesda for the level of care given to my mother, Lucille Smith. She first started with Bethesda in 2003 at the Terrace with a two-bedroom apartment. She later moved into a one-bedroom apartment and in 2010, we moved her to Charless Village where she has lived for almost a year. In the last month her health declined and it was obvious to her family and to Bethesda that she would need additional assistance, and on March 26, 2012 we moved her to Southgate.

The care that she has gotten during her journey with Bethesda has been nothing short of amazing. In particular, the staff at Charless who took such great care of her during this last year. We know they paid special attention to her, always watching over her to help her maintain her independence, and for that we are grateful.

So, on behalf of myself and my family, our sincere gratitude to Bethesda for the loving care that has been given to my mother.
