Hiring Process

Step 1: Submit Your Online Application

To get started, you must complete an online application. Your application must be complete and include three references. Please note: you may submit your resume on third-party sites, but your application will not be considered complete until you apply through our website.

Step 2: Complete Two Brief Assessments

We use two assessments to help us identify the very best candidates for our communities. The Job Interest Survey Tool will ask skills-related questions based on the position you are applying for. The Hartman Value Profile will ask personality-related questions, including ones that gauge your level of compassion for others. Please allow yourself 30–45 minutes to complete the assessments.

Step 3: Phone Screening

Qualified candidates will be called by one of our Bethesda Representatives. During this conversation, we’ll ask a few general questions to get to know you and your professional goals.

Step 4: Interview in Person

Upon a successful phone screen, you’ll be invited to schedule an in-person interview with the position’s hiring manager. This interview will cover your professional strengths and experiences. Most positions only require one in-person interview, but some positions may require additional interviews.

Step 5: Accept Your Offer & Complete a Background Check

The hiring leader will make a final decision and a Bethesda Representative will extend a job offer. All that’s left is for you to accept the offer, clear a standard background check and tuberculosis skin test (TST), and complete the onboarding paperwork. Licensed professionals will also be subject to a review of their current license and may be asked to complete a physical fitness assessment. Congratulations! Welcome to the Bethesda family.
