Optimum Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Care for St. Louis Seniors
When it comes to offering care for St. Louis seniors by providing rehab assistance after a hospital discharge, hospitals throughout the area choose the Bethesda Rehab & Therapy Centers, with several designating us as a “provider of choice” for physical therapy for seniors as well as other types of rehabilitation.
Our program, which is covered under Medicare Part A insurance, provides speech, occupational and physical therapies designed to help individuals regain their strength and mobility. This service is specifically for people who:
- Live in their own homes or senior living apartments
- Were hospitalized and subsequently discharged from the hospital
- Could benefit from some additional rehabilitation, including physical therapy, before returning to their homes
A vital component of the St. Louis senior care environment, our therapy and rehabilitation is available at each of Bethesda’s skilled nursing communities – Bethesda Dilworth, in the Webster/Kirkwood area; Bethesda Southgate, in South County; and Bethesda Meadow, in Ellisville.
The service is also available at our managed communities – Christian Extended Care & Rehabilitation in North County, Barnes-Jewish Extended Care in Clayton, and Alton Memorial Rehabilitation & Therapy in Alton, Il.
The majority of participants stay in a private room (with private bathroom and shower). They eat their meals and participate in activities with the other individuals at the skilled nursing community who are undergoing therapy, either physical therapy for seniors or other kinds of rehabilitation.
At each St. Louis senior care community, the participant’s progress is closely monitored and orchestrated by Bethesda’s specialized care team, which includes therapists and aides from the nationally prominent RehabCare.
