Recognizing the growing need for rehabilitation services for seniors, St. Louis-based Bethesda Health Group has opened the Bethesda Rehab & Therapy Center, a short-term rehabilitation facility specifically designed for seniors. Located on the Bethesda Dilworth campus in Oakland (near Kirkwood and Webster Groves), the Bethesda Rehab & Therapy Center offers rehabilitation care for seniors needing additional recovery after a hospital stay. "As our population continues to age, it's clear that St. Louis seniors want to receive high quality rehabilitation care with a unique level of comfort, security and privacy," says John W. Rowe, President and CEO of Bethesda Health Group. "With private rooms and a specialized staff, the Bethesda Rehab & Therapy Center promotes a stress-free recovery and gets seniors back to the lives they love." The Center includes spacious private rooms with private bathrooms and showers, flat-panel televisions and dedicated dining and recreational therapy areas. Bethesda expects to expand this concept of inpatient care to its other skilled nursing communities in the St. Louis area over the next few years. Bethesda also offers outpatient rehab services through the Bethesda Senior Therapy Center, a facility that opened in 2008 adjacent to the Bethesda Orchard independent living residence in Webster Groves. Bethesda Health Group is a 120-year-old non-profit organization that creates supportive and caring lifestyles for St. Louis area seniors with an equal focus on superior quality and value. Bethesda operates five independent living senior communities, three dedicated skilled nursing communities, and one that offers residential living, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehab services under one roof. Bethesda also offers home health, private duty, hospice care, outpatient therapy services, and an adult day club for individuals who wish to remain in their homes. |
